The Duck Pond

There are a number of markets in the area, conventional, covered and farmer's.

You can also buy all sorts of locally produced food - honey from the bee man, eggs from our ducks, or in the local pub, Stilton cheese in Hartington, rare breed meat (and the famous pudding) in Bakewell. If you are a foody, or just enjoy markets, you are in the right place. Belper Farmer's Market on the 2nd Saturday of the month.

Visit Derbysh Dales council site

This site has a good list of markets. It tells you what towns have markets on what days.
Not many farmer's markets though

Vist Eat-the-View

I just love the name of this site. It is a government site but has all sorts of links to well produced foodstuffs.
