As
you can see the buildings are set in a private courtyard. There
is our farmhouse, the large gardens, ample car parking, and Duck
Pond View.

We
are surrounded by the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, with our
own 40 acre farm one side of the road, and another 50 acres of
grazing on the other. Quiet, but not isolated, as our nearest
neighbours are about 100 yards away, and the Puss in Boots is
just a five minute walk (see local pubs).

The
Ecclesbourne valley runs down from Wirksworth to Duffield and
to my mind is one of the loveliest valleys in Derbyshire. Not
the rugged splendour of the high peak, but very gentle, and much
better suited to the way we feel now that we have retired. (Apart
from the farm, obviously, and the holiday flat!)
There is a road up the ridge on one side of the valley that goes
up to Alport Heights from where it is reputed that, on a clear
day, you can see seven counties.

Nestled
into one side of this valley are Knowle Farm, and Duck Pond View.
