Welcome to the web site of the
Knowle Farm CL.

Please note that we also run a holiday flat called Duck Pond View (the large, curved-top window just above the trees at the left of the photo) which has a very comprehensive web site, so the links at the top left of this page take you to the web site for that. There is a host of information there, and it means that we only have to keep one web site up to date!

Should you print off any directions from that site, just remember that the CL is just PAST the house as you come up the hill, and is clearly marked.

We would normally open in time for the early May Bank Holiday, but this year that is not going to be possible. We are now planning on opening on Wednesday 5th May.

The CL

Please note also that because we are a working sheep farm, and we are never sure from one day to the next exactly what animals we will have in the fields, we cannot accept any dogs (guide dogs excepted). Sorry.

The CL is a field of about 1 acre of fairly flat grassland, to the right of the white track at the right of the photo (above), behind the hedge. Unfortunately, we are on solid clay, so the field doesn't really dry out until May, which is why we don't open through the winter. If enough of you visit us, though, it will justify us putting in some "All Year" pitches with hardstanding.

TV reception is, unfortunately, not very good on our CL.

A large part (but not all) of the CL is now within our wireless network, and if you have a suitably equipped laptop, you should be able to connect to the internet while on site. There is no charge for this, & we trust people won't abuse the facility.

Photographs

Below are some photographs which I hope will give you a feel for our CL.

Most of the photos of the CL were taken on the same weekend, so feature the same caravans, the photos of the ducks were provided by one of our regular guests, and the aerial shots were taken by me on a (birthday present) helicopter flight from Sheffield airport. Very exciting!

Just click on any one to see a larger version. The larger photos are very easy to see, as they are a good size and quality, but (if you are on dial-up) please allow up to 30 seconds for each one to download.
